What this site is

The site collects the core, durable concepts of recreational paddling — stroke technique, required safety equipment, and shared-water etiquette — and explains them in clear English. The emphasis is on flatwater and entry-level moving water, the settings where most Canadians begin.

How the material is prepared

Each topic is written to reflect publicly available guidance from recognised Canadian authorities and paddling organisations. Where exact figures or rules vary by vessel and region, the text uses neutral wording and directs readers to the official source rather than restating numbers that may change.

What this site is not

Willow Harvest Co is not a certification body, a retailer, or an emergency resource. It does not sell equipment or courses, and it is not a substitute for hands-on instruction or current official regulations. Always confirm binding rules with the relevant authority and seek certified training before paddling in unfamiliar conditions.
