Overview
This website provides reference articles about canoeing and kayaking. It is a static site and does not operate user accounts, databases, or server-side processing of personal information.
The contact form
The contact form on the home page runs entirely in your web browser. When you submit it, the form simulates sending and then clears its fields. The information you type is not transmitted to a server by this site and is not stored or shared. If you email the address listed on the site directly, your message and email address will reach that mailbox as with any normal email.
Cookies and local storage
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It uses a single value in your browser's local storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected the cookie notice, so the notice does not reappear on every visit. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Third-party content
Pages display photographs hosted by Wikimedia Commons and load web fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these files, the providers may receive standard request information such as your IP address. Outbound links to organisations such as Transport Canada, Paddle Canada, the Lifesaving Society, and Parks Canada are governed by those organisations' own privacy policies.
